Written by the El Paso native and produced by Digi and Justin Lucas, the introspective, romantic ballad follows Khalid's April single Please Don't Fall In Love With Me. He said:

Khalid released his second LP, 'Free Spirit', in 2019. Two weeks ago, he hinted at a new project with a post on Instagram captioned, "5 years later. Here we go again."
