X will release their final album this summer.

'Smoke & Fiction', the follow-up to 2020's 'Alphabetland', will arrive through Fat Possum on August 2. It finds the legendary Los Angeles punks—original members Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom, and DJ Bonebrake—reuniting with producer Rob Schnapf, who helmed its predecessor.

As a preview, the band have shared the LP's lead single, Big Black X, which offers their familiar taut, high-velocity sound that fuses punk-rock with rock 'n' roll. Press play below.

Along with their final album, X have announced a North American farewell tour, which kicks off in July and continues through to October. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 28). Head here for details.

3. The Way It Is
4. Flipside
