JOYRIDE marks the Los Angeles singer's first new music since her 2023 album, 'Gag Order', and is an independent release, coming out on Kesha Records.
She is no longer under contract to the labels she signed with as a teenager, and last summer she settled (out of court) the long-running legal case with her former producer Dr. Luke. So, it's no coincidence that she chose to drop the single on July 4, Independence Day in the US.
The song, which the vocalist premiered at Planet Pride Fest in Brooklyn, New York in June, is propelled by club-ready beats and playfully braggadocious lyrics. Spin it below.
Kesha has some live shows coming up, including Wawa Welcome America Festival today, and a gig at the House Of Blues in Chicago on July 31, ahead of her performance at Lollapalooza the next day. She will also appear at Festival HERA HSBC in Mexico City on August 24.
