King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard have shared a new track.
Le Risque serves as the first preview of the prolific Australian band's 26th studio album, 'Flight b741', which is due out on August 9. Driven by a tight groove, the infectious blues-rock offering features the vocal debut of drummer Michael Cavanagh, and arrives with an aviation-themed video directed by Guy Tyzack, who said:
"We were super lucky to have been granted access to this amazing air hanger. The song was chosen because most of the Gizz guys had a singing part and I was excited for the mic to be passed around at a fun, never stopping pace. The day was super packed tight for what we wanted to get and we didn't want to cut corners. Our crew was tight and the Gizz guys know how to put on a show. We were so tight for time that I didn't pee all day."
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard will play North American shows in August, September and November, including a number of three-hour "marathon" gigs at different venues. They also have a European residency tour scheduled for 2025 with multiple nights confirmed in various cities. Tickets are on sale now.
