LL Cool J has confirmed that his new album will arrive this summer.
The two-time Grammy Award-winning hip hop star will drop 'The FORCE' (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) on September 6 via Def Jam Recordings and Virgin Music Group, marking his first studio full-length release since 2013's 'Authentic'. Commenting on the Q-Tip produced record, he said:
"We’re talking 14 tracks of straight fire, all crafted by myself and the one and only Q-Tip. When you listen to this album, you’re not just hearing music, you’re experiencing a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion."
It'll feature his June single Saturday Night Special featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe, as well as collaborations with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Saweetie, Nas, and more.
As a further preview, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has shared a second cut from the record, Passion, which finds Q-Tip's minimal production giving way to the rapper's relaxed flow. Press play below.
