The propulsive indie track serves as the latest preview of the Stockport band's new album, 'Gary', due out on September 20.
Produced by frequent collaborator James Skelly of The Coral, alongside Jungle’s Josh-Lloyd Watson, the record will also feature the previously unveiled cuts What Can I Say After I'm Sorry and the title track. Vocalist Tom Ogden said:
"Perfect Me wasn’t done in the normal way we make songs. Normally I write the song at home and then bring it to the lads. We just made this one from nothing. We had a synth sequence and built it up from scratch in the studio. The spontaneity of it resulted in it having a lot of energy. It’s about this perfect being that doesn’t exist."
Head below to view the song's accompanying video, which finds the band reuniting with director James Slater, who helmed the video for their 2019 single, Your Girlfriend.
Blossoms will support Tom Grennan at London's Gunnersbury Park on August 10, before an appearance at Hardwick Festival in Sedgefield, and their biggest headline show to date at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester on August 25. They'll also play the Liam Gallagher Malta Weekender in September. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
