The 1975's George Daniel has released his debut solo single, Screen Cleaner.
The track offers electronic instrumentation and vocal samples over a thumping EDM beat and glitchy synths, and arrives via the DJ, drummer and producer's new Dirty Hit imprint, dh2.
The song also credits Swedish electro-pop artist Tove Lo as a co-writer, as well as Tim Nelson, who also co-produced the song under his TimFromTheHouse moniker.
Daniel co-wrote and received production credits on Club Classics, a song from his fiancé Charli XCX's new album, 'Brat'. He also co-produced The Japanese House's 2019 debut LP 'Good At Falling' and 2023's 'In The End It Always Does', alongside work with artists Caroline Polachek, Beabadoobee and No Rome.
The 1975 released their fifth and latest studio album, 'Being Funny In A Foreign Language', in 2022. The band are currently on an "indefinite hiatus" following their last world tour.
