'Love And Lore' will arrive through Rise Records on October 25, marking the Hot Water Music co-frontman's first solo LP in 10 years.
First conceptualised in 2016, Regan began studio sessions for the record in 2019, but everything was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, with recording eventually taking place in 2023.
Co-produced by Ragan and Todd Beene, who also contributes guitar to the LP, it also features Ragan's Hot Water Music bandmates George Rebelo on drums and Chris Creswell on backing vocals, and Spencer Duncan on bass. Ragan said:
"I’m always trying to do something different because I feel like if we’re not searching, we’re not learning. My writing approach seems to be whatever the song needs or wherever the song takes you, just let it breathe."
To coincide with the news, Ragan has shared a new single, Wild In Our Ways, which is led by his familiar gravelly vocals, underpinned by a heartland rock groove. It follows on from his 2023 single, Echo The Halls, which also features on the record.
Hot Water Music will tour Europe this autumn, followed by dates in Australia and New Zealand early in 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
