Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
Taking place on February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the 17-time Grammy Award-winning rapper will grace the stage as a headliner of the live spectacle, after he was a special guest alongside Dr. Dre's West Coast hip hop showcase in 2022.
The Compton hip hop giant took to social media to announce the news, which was followed by a post by the NFL.
"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date," Lamar said in a statement. "And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."
Previous Halftime Show headliners include Usher, Rihanna, Dr Dre, Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, The Weeknd, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.
Lamar released his latest album, 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers', in 2022. In the spring of this year, he featured on Future and Metro Boomin's track Like That, which escalated his feud with Canadian superstar Drake. The two hip hop titans have since traded diss tracks, including Lamar's Not Like Us in May.
