Refused are calling it a day.
The Swedish band's drummer David Sandström posted a statement to their social media accounts, which reveals they had begun their farewell plans earlier this year, but things were derailed when singer Dennis Lyxzén suffered a heart attack this summer.
Although even the band admit they do not yet know the full scope of their final tour, they have confirmed the North american leg, which will begin in Brooklyn on March 21 and conclude in Sacramento on April 10.
Tickets for the shows, billed as Refused Are F**cking Dead, And This Time They Really Mean It, go on general sale at 10am local time this Friday (September 13). Support will come from special guests Quicksand.
Refused formed in the early '90s and have released five albums to date, the latest being 2019's 'War Music', though the band are well known for 1998's 'The Shape of Punk to Come', after which they split for the first time. They reunited in 2012 and released two more albums.
