In support of his soon-to-be announced new studio album, the Canadian rock superstar has lined up arena shows in Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Aberdeen, Glasgow, London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Dublin and Belfast between May 8 and 21. Announcing the dates, Adams said:
"I’ve been gigging in the UK for such a long time now, and each time I play here I remember why I fell in love with UK audiences…we’re gonna sing and rock the roof off these arenas!"
The new trek follows the success of his So Happy It Hurts Tour, which spanned three years and featured concerts across North America, the UK, Europe and Asia.
In August, Adams shared two new songs, War Machine and Rock And Roll Hell, which were initially released as a double a-side 7" single exclusively through the singer-songwriter’s online store via his new independent label, Bad Records. Both tracks are now available on streaming platforms.
The 64-year-old released his latest studio album, ’So Happy It Hurts’, in 2022. That was followed a year later by the box set ’Live At The Royal Albert Hall’, which captured his 2022 performances of his albums ’Cut Like A Knife’, ’Into The Fire’ and ’Waking Up The Neighbours’ at the London venue.
He’ll drop a new collection, ’Live At The Royal Albert Hall 2024’, on November 15. It features the 40th anniversary concert of his ’Reckless’ album, alongside performances of ’18 ’Til I Die’ and ’So Happy It Hurts’.
Adams is currently touring Europe and plays a show in Rotterdam tonight (October 4). He also has Australian and New Zealand dates in the diary for February 2025. Tickets for those shows are on sale now.
