The Used Singer Bert McCracken Announces Self-Titled Debut Album For New Solo Project Robbietheused

Bert McCracken has announced his debut album under the moniker robbietheused.
Following the singles Terrible, The Feels and Just A Little Bit, The Used frontman will release the self-titled record on October 25 via Big Noise Records.
McCracken first announced the pop-orientated solo venture back in the summer. The project is a stylistic shift away from the alternative, emo rock music of The Used to bright, danceable pop grooves. He said:
"Any feeling is valid—and to be able to put it to song is incredible. And there's so much room in this world for positivity. I want this music to show that there's room for love. There's room for growth. There's room for redemption. There's so many good people—and so many good things happening."
Robbietheused will play five shows US this fall, kicking off on October 30 in Anaheim, California, before heading to Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City and Asbury Park, New Jersey. Tickets are on sale now.
Commenting on The Used, he said: "The Used is my number one priority and my favourite band in the world with my favourite singer of all time. My band members have all been really supportive, and they know how much I love pop music."
The band are currently touring the US with Taking Back Sunday and play a show in Oklahoma City tonight (October 9). They'll also appear at the UK's Slam Dunk Festival in May next year.
Their latest album is 2023's 'Toxic Positivity’, though they did follow it up with 'Medz' this summer, a collection of the tracks that didn't make last year's record.
