Lambrini Girls have announced their long-awaited debut album.
The Brighton-based punk duo, Phoebe Lunny and Lilly Macieira, will release 'Who Let The Dogs Out' on January 10 via City Slang.
Recorded by Gilla Band's Daniel Fox, with mixing by Seth Manchester, it'll include last month's single Company Culture, as well as the live favourite Big Dick Energy, which tackles toxic masculinity with raw punk energy and formidable guitar muscle. Lambrini Girls explained:
"Man comes in many forms, from world leaders to tech CEOs and humble softboys. But what unites them? Society has celebrated their supposed massive figurative and literal dicks, which they constantly flaunt. Why? Toxic masculinity.
"Fuelling their sense of entitlement and insecurities leads to harmful behaviours. Which when left unchecked, means we have to deal with the fallout. The definition of ‘Big Dick Energy’ is a confidence that doesn’t need proving. Which begs the question, how big is that dick in reality? If you haven’t figured this out by now, it’s not that big."
The pair will embark on a UK and European tour next spring, which includes their biggest headline show to date at London's Electric Brixton on April 17.
They'll also play Cardiff's Sŵn Festival on Saturday (October 19), before a DJ set at Mutations Festival in Brighton on November 5, and two dates supporting Idles at London's Alexandra Palace on November 29 and 30. Tickets are on sale now.
Earlier this year, they released the singles Body Of Mine and God's Country, following up their 2023 EP, 'You're Welcome'.
