Alessia Cara Announces Fourth Album 'Love & Hyperbole' With New Single (Isn't It) Obvious

Wednesday, 23 October 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

Alessia Cara has laid out plans for her fourth album.

The follow-up to 2021's 'In The Meantime' is called 'Love & Hyperbole' and will arrive on February 14 via Def Jam Recordings.

Alongside the news, the Grammy-winning artist has shared record's second single, (Isn’t It) Obvious, a mid-tempo alt-pop track that features a guitar solo from John Mayer. The first single, Dead Man, was released in the summer. Cara said:

"If Dead Man is about emotional distance, then (Isn’t It) Obvious is about being physically apart from someone but reminding them how much you love them.

"As I was coming up with the lyrics I was pulling a lot of inspiration from singer-songwriters like John Mayer, so it’s mind-blowing to me that he ended up actually playing on the song."
