Iggy Pop has announced a new live album.
As the title suggests, 'Live At Montreux Jazz Festival 2023' captures the Michigan punk icon's career-spanning headline performance at Montreux Jazz Festival last summer.
The collection is a mix of his new and older material, including The Stooges classics, plus songs from his 'Idiot' and 'Lust For Life' albums, and his latest record, 2023's 'Every Loser'. As a preview, check out the rowdy take on Five Foot One below.
Performed by the 77-year-old and his seven-piece band, the rabble-rousing set at the Stravinski Auditorium marked Iggy's third appearance at the festival. He said:
"I give something extra every time I do Montreux Jazz. In ’23 it was deep cuts like Mass Production, Endless Sea, Five Foot One and a hell of a lot of sweat."
The album will be available as a Blu-ray and CD digipak, double LP and digitally on January 24 via earMUSIC.
Iggy Pop was also recently announced as one of the first acts for next year's Bearded Theory festival in Derbyshire.
