Richard Dawson has laid out plans for a new album.
The folk singer-songwriter will release 'End Of The Middle' through Domino on February 14, following up 2022's 'The Ruby Cord’.
As a preview, he's shared the single Polytunnel, a minimal offering featuring just Dawson's voice and an acoustic guitar. Commenting on the song, he said:
“I think I know what’s happening in the song, but hopefully that’ll be different for each person listening. I like that the line ‘Out the gate and down the lane’ - it could mean going down the allotment, or it could mean going somewhere else. Tunnel is obviously a very loaded word. There’s possibly a lot of drama happening outside of the lines of the song…. Or not. It might just be a song about an allotment."

Dawson will play an intimate show at The Ivy House in South London on December 7. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (November 1).

1. Bolt
2. Gondola
