The Wolfe Tones To Headline Liverpool's On The Waterfront Series

The Wolfe Tones have lined up a summer show in Liverpool.
The legendary Irish folk band — Tommy Byrne, Noel Nagle and Brian Warfield — will perform at the Pier Head on June 20 as part of the On The Waterfront concert series. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (November 8).
The new date will mark their final performance in England, following a career spanning over six decades.Warfield said:
“The city of Liverpool will always hold a special place in the hearts of Irish immigrants into Britain. Over the years, it has also held a special place in the hearts of The Wolfe Tones. The memories of the great occasions in the city including at the Liverpool Irish Centre will live long in the memory. It is only fitting that The Wolfe Tones headline a major outdoor event as part of our Final Farewell performances and we promise that it is going to be a special occasion in a very special city!”
The trio, who are set to retire next year, will play their last Irish show next summer at Limerick's Thomond Park Stadium on July 13. Tickets for that date are on sale now. They performed their final London concert at Finsbury Park back in the summer.
The Wolfe Tones join the previously announced On The Waterfront headliners Sting, and Cream Classical and the Kaleidoscope Orchestra. Get tickets here.
