The Grammy-winning Compton rapper posted a link to 'GNX', and nothing else, on social media at 5pm GMT on November 22. The follow-up to 2022's 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers' features guest spots from a number of artists, including SZA, Dody6, Wallie the Sensei, Siete7x and Roddy Ricch, among others.
The unexpected record has already garnered reviews from fans and critics, as well as a response from Father John Misty, who also released his new album 'Mahashmashana' on Friday and who says him and Lemar releasing on the same schedule has been a regular occurrence over the years. Lemar will headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show in New Orleans on February 9. The event will take place a week after the Grammy Awards at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, where the artist has received seven nominations, including Record Of The Year for Not Like Us, a track which is also up for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Song of the Year.
