The Cure Announce Live Album 'Songs Of A Live World: Troxy London MMXXIV'

Monday, 02 December 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

The Cure have announced a new live album.

'Songs Of A Live World: Troxy London MMXXIV', as the title suggests, was recorded at the post punk veterans' performance to 3,000 fans at the London venue Troxy on November 1, where they celebrated the release of their first album in 16 years, 'Songs Of A Lost World'. You can still stream the full show via YouTube.

The gig saw the band run through the record in its entirety, alongside hits and favourites from throughout their career, though the live album will only feature tracks from the album. It'll arrive via Fiction/Polydor on December 13, with the band set to donate all royalties to the charity War Child

Formats available include a single CD and a single clear vinyl, a double CD version, single and double LP blood-red vinyl editions, and a double LP including an instrumental version of the album.

On November 29, the band released 'A Fragile Thing' EP, featuring frontman Robert Smith's remixes of the single's album version and live at the Troxy version. Listen here.
