The single is the second, following On Automatic, to lifted from their sophomore EP, 'Care', which is due out on February 14. The track offers the four-piece's scuzzy and urgent blend of noise-rock, punk, post-rock, and the anomalies you find in the spaces between. Bassist Gordon Moakes, formerly of Bloc Party and Young Legionnaire, said:
"I think of this as the archetypal NONE song – a big ugly bassline that the dynamics and personalities of the band weave in and out of."
The band, completed by Kai Whyte (Blue Ruth, Youth Man), guitarist Jim Beck (Cassels) and drummer Chris Francombe (Frauds), will support their new record with a UK tour that begins on the EP's release day and runs until February 21, when it will conclude in Newcastle. Tickets are on sale now.
They've also got a headline London show at Oslo in the diary for March 29, and will appear at UK festivals over the summer, including Portals Festival at EartH, London on May 24, Bearded Theory festival in Derbyshire the next day, and Deer Shed Festival in Yorkshire on July 25.
