Sam Smith has returned with a new single, Love Is A Stillness.
The short, introspective piano ballad shows off the British artist's signature emotive vocals and arrives as a gift to their fans. Introducing it, the Grammy-winner said:
"This song is such a special song to me and because it’s Valentine’s Day I wanted to share this with you as a gift to say I love you. Love Is A Stillness is accompanied by very cute cover art featuring a pair of turtles and a music video filmed on the streets of New York, celebrating “love in all its forms.”
In summer 2024, Smith released a 10th anniversary expanded edition of their debut album, 'In The Lonely Hour'. The singer-songwriter also re-released their hit I'm Not The Only One as a duet with Alicia Keys.
Smith's latest studio album is 2023's 'Gloria'. Last year, they contributed a cover of folk icon Beverly Glenn-Copeland's track Ever New, and a new take on Sylvester's You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) with Moses Sumney and Lyra Pramuk to 'TRAИƧA: Selects', a compilation celebrating the trans/non-binary community.
