Billy Idol has announced a huge summer London show.
As part of his It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! Tour, the punk-rock legend will headline the OVO Arena Wembley on June 24. It will be his only headline UK show of the year. Support will come from special guests New Model Army. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 21.
The tour also includes North American legs this spring and summer. To help those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, $5 from every ticket sold for the last show of the tour will be donated to the American Red Cross, with Idol set to match the donation.
Idol was recently announced as a nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2025. The final inductees will be selected through votes from over 1,000 music historians, industry professionals and inducted artists, alongside a public fan vote, which is open now via the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's website.
The legendary performer is said to have completed work on a new album, which is expected later this year via Dark Horse Records, though further details have not been confirmed. His latest LP is 2014's 'Kings & Queens Of The Underground', though he has put out a live record, remix album, festive LP and two EPs, 'The Roadside' and 'The Cage', since then.
The 69-year-old also put out a deluxe 40th anniversary edition of his landmark second album, 'Rebel Yell', in 2024, and a concert film titled Billy Idol: State Line back in 2023.
Prior to his headline London concert, Idol will play the new Forever Now festival in Milton Keynes on June 22. Tickets for that are on sale now.
