A.G. Cook is the recipient of this year’s Producer Of The Year award from the BRITs.
Annually decided by a panel of expert judges, the prize has previously been awarded to Chase and Status, David Guetta and Calvin Harris. Cook commented:
"As someone who’s always felt like a bit of an outsider, I’m very flattered to be recognised by The BRITs. From the early PC Music days to the Charli mixtapes and beyond, I’ve been lucky to work on so much music that I truly believe in. In particular, I’d like to dedicate this moment to SOPHIE, whose vision and artistry is still a driving force for producers everywhere."
Having founded the influential PC Music label in 2013, London-born Cook has worked alongside a range of artists, including SOPHIE, Charli XCX, Beyoncé, Caroline Polachek, Troye Sivan, Christine and The Queens and Oklou. He released his third solo album, 'Britpop', in 2024.
He has also previously been honoured with a British GQ Man Of The Year award and a Variety Hitmakers Innovator of The Year award, alongside multiple Grammy nominations. This summer, he'll join 070 Shake, Bladee, Kelly Lee Owens, The Dare, and The Japanese House in supporting Charli XCX at the inaugural LIDO festival in London on June 14. Tickets are on sale now.
Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK) and Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2025, said:
"What a year A. G. Cook has had - from his expansive solo record ’Britpop’ to the world beating ’Brat’, he has pushed the boundaries and delivered incredible music. He is a true creative and has worked with the world’s biggest artists - always getting the best out of them and helping them evolve their sound. Congratulations to A. G. on being crowned the 2025 Producer of the Year."
In December, Myles Smith was announced as the winner of the Rising Star award, and it was revealed earlier this month that Sabrina Carpenter will receive the Global Success award at the BRIT Awards ceremony in London this Saturday (March 1).

Jack Whitehall will return to present the evening, which will also be broadcast live on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX. Head here for more details and a list of nominees.
