Barry Can't Swim has shared a new single, The Person You'd Like To Be.
Arriving via Ninja Tune, the electronic track marks the Edinburgh-born DJ and producer's first new music of the year, and the first preview of an upcoming bigger project.
Featuring filtered spoken-word vocals over a mid-tempo beat, it follows his 2024 singles Still Riding and Kimbara, and his 2023 debut album, 'When Will We Land?', which was nominated for last year's Mercury Prize.
Barry Can't Swim will headline All Points East at London's Victoria Park on August 22, and Bristol event Forwards on August 23, as well as appearing at Lost Village Festival in Lincolnshire that same month.
