Melvins 1983 Tease 'Thunderball' With New Single King Of Rome

Melvins 1983, the alternate configuration of Melvins featuring frontman Buzz Osborne and original drummer Mike Dillard, have shared a new track.
King Of Rome marks the second preview of their new album, 'Thunderball', due out on April 18. A fusion of punk-rock and grunge, the track features contributions from avant-electronic artists Void Manes and Ni Maîtres, and follows on from the record's near-10 minute lead single, Victory Of The Pyramids, shared last month. Osborne said:
"The King Of Rome!! Hot Cross Buns! This song is a hot little punk rock number. I hope all of you enjoy it and tell your friends."
Melvins — Osborne with bassist Steven McDonald, and drummers Dale Crover and Coady Willis — will play ArcTanGent festival on August 14 as part of their Stop Your Whining Tour of the UK and Europe this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
