Arctic Monkeys Announce New London Tour Date. Demand for Tickets Through The Roof!

Friday, 11 September 2009 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageDue to incredible demand for tickets, Arctic Monkeys have revealed a second London tour date at Wembley Arena for Tuesday November 17th.

Mercury Prize winning Arctic Monkeys are back to number one in the charts with their new album, 'Humbug' and after some stellar festival performances this summer, most notably at Reading and Leeds Festivals, they are playing 11 shows in the UK & Ireland in November!

Tickets for the Arctic Monkeys Tour went on sale this morning at 9am - and most standing tickets promptly sold out within the hour - although some seating tickets are still available last time we checked.

If you have already got a standing ticket, you’re one of the lucky ones, but if not, don’t worry, tickets for all the shows are also still available with our ticket exchange partner, viagogo. All tickets on viagogo are guaranteed, so you can be sure you’ll be seeing Alex Turner and the boys on stage this November. Visit viagogo for sold-out Arctic Monkeys tickets

Meanwhile a mockumentary featuring Arctic Monkeys is set for an October release date. 'Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee' is a film centred around a roadie who is trying to get a white rapper a support slot at an Arctic Monkeys gig. The film was directed by Shane Meadows (This is England, Dead Man's Shoes) and was premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in June. You can catch it in theatres from October 9th, and it's released to DVD on October 26th.
