Iron Maiden And Rammstein To Headline Sonisphere 2010

Here it is, a bit later than promised as I've just stopped jumping around the building but....It’s confirmed!! Iron Maiden WILL be headlining the annual Sonisphere Festival which will take place at Knebworth between 30th July 1st August 2010. That’s not all though, also Headlining will be German shockers Rammstein!

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson commented, “Knebworth has been the home of so many legendary concerts going back many years, it really will be a privilege to play there. We enjoy the camaraderie of playing the great festivals and are very much looking forward to getting back out to do some shows next summer and, as it will be over two years since we played the UK, we will certainly be looking to deliver a memorable and spectacular night for our fans!”
In addition to Iron Maiden promising something special, an official statement released by Rammstein said. “The great support that we’ve experienced from the UK fans has been beyond anything we expected. This will be the first time Rammstein has appeared at a festival in the UK and we are looking forward to putting on a show that no-one will ever forget!”
Other acts on the bill include, Alice Cooper, Anthrax, The Cult, Iggy & The Stooges, Motley Crue and Slayer.
Last year the event was headlined by Metallica who this year will be playing a number of the festival’s European dates, including a gig at the first ever Sonisphere Poland.
