The returning songwriter Kate Nash has announced an extra batch of live shows to her forthcoming British and Irish tour.
The singer is a bit of a divisive songwriter. To her fans, the singer’s music is witty, modern and inspirational with her unique look being copied by teenage girls across the country.
Kate Nash will preview songs from her new album ‘My Best Friend Is You’ at four additional gigs across the UK and Ireland next month. The pressure is on Kate Nash to repeat the success of her debut album ‘Made Of Bricks’. Previewing the new material recently through a series of low key shows the singer mixed unheard tracks with some classic songs from her first record.
Now Kate Nash has added four additonal dates to the tour. Beginning on April 7th with a performance in Dublin Academy the dates move across the country, eventually finishing at London’s Village Underground venue.
Her new album is set for release on April 19th and will be preceeded by the first single release off the album Doo Wah Doo a week earlier.
Kate Nash has confirmed the following extra UK shows:
April 2010
7th Academy, Dublin
16th Deaf Institute, Manchester
17th Hare & Hound, Birmingham
22nd Village Underground, London
