Yep, you’ve read that correctly, multi millionaire rapper/entrepreneur/actor is apparently making moves to invest in struggling football club Crystal Palace. The club are facing bankruptcy and had 10 points deducted after falling into administration.
The rapper is also looking at other possible sports team in need of a cash injection. A.N Other told The Sun newspaper: “Diddy was in London meeting football fixers a couple weeks ago. The finance is in place, he’s just deciding who he thinks he’ll make a bid for”.
Cough-Portsmouth-cough are another option for the Bad Boy Records man but the source added “he thought Palace were a better idea. He could cover their debt and bankroll a return to the Premier League. He liked the name as well”.
The 40 year old is thought to be worth around $550 million. So it’s your move Pompey, change your name to the Portsmouth Diamonds and you’re in with a chance.
