Lady Gaga has been sued by ex-boyfriend and music producer Rob Fusari for $35 million. The ex claims that he has been squeezed out of the eccentric star’s career.
Mr. Fusari, or Rob to his friends, filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan state court, claiming he helped Gaga write some of her songs, including smash hit ‘Paparazzi’, had a hand in thinking up her stage name and also helped secure her a record contract.
The relationship ended when Lady G found fame, though the producer does have a credit on the singer’s debut album ‘The Fame’. The issue raised is that he claims he is owed a full share of his royalties. According to Associated Press this amounts to 20 percent of song royalties and 15 percent of merchandising revenue.
Fusari is a well known songwriter, famed for Destiny’s Child’s ‘Bootylicious’ and everyone’s favourite non-sweary rapper Will Smith’s ‘Wild, Wild West’. So there’s a chance Lady Gaga will be wicki-wicki-wa-wicki-wicki-waving goodbye to a rather large sum of moneys.
