One of four arrested, the 31 year old singer had been close to Robin Whitehead, an amateur film-maker, shooting a documentary called The Road To Albion about Doherty’s former band The Libertines.
According to The Telegraph, two of Doherty’s friends, Peter Wolfe and Alan Wass, were also arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs. As well as the flat’s owner Gill Samwoth, who was arrested on suspicion of allowing the property to be used to supply drugs.
A police spokesperson has said: “A 31 year old man was arrested on March 19th on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. He was bailed to return on a date in April pending further inquiries”.
