MGMT Forced to Stream New Album For Free After Leak

MGMT have had no choice but to stream their new album ‘Congratulations’ after it was leaked online. The second LP from the US duo was due to be released on April 12th, but it appeared on various file-sharing sites over the weekend.

The whole album is now being played on the official website, after the band’s request to give the album away for free was turned down. MGMT commented “Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn’t make sense to anyone but us”.
