Zappa plays Zappa, a tribute to the the legendary rock guitarist and composer Frank Zappa, comes to the UK this summer with a series of shows in July.
American tribute act, Zappa Plays Zappa features Dweezil Zappa, Frank’s eldest son, on lead guitar with the company of a host of hand-picked young musical talents and older musicians who previously played with Frank Zappa. Bringing his father’s legacy to life, Dweezil and his band are the only official act to do so since Frank Zappa’s death in 1993.
Taking an awesome performance to the stage, Zappa Plays Zappa will rock through a career spanning selection of Zappa’s work, including ‘Bobby Brown (Goes Down)’, ‘Peaches en Ragalia’ and ‘Willy The Pimp’.
Dweezil had this to say about following in his father’s footsteps: “We’re bringing my father’s music to new generations of music lovers, as well as long-standing Zappa fans.”
Zappa Plays Zappa have been playing the music of Frank Zappa to audiences worldwide since 2006, receiving rave reviews from every perfomance as they go. In 2009, Zappa Plays Zappa were awarded a Grammy award for best rock instrumental performance for their rendition of ‘Peaches en Ragalia’.
Zappa Plays Zappa will play the following UK dates:

21st Corn Exchange, Cambridge
22nd Brighton Centre, Brighton
23rd Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
