Double 2010 NME award winners, Muse are to be given the Silver Clef award after their Glastonbury performance.
The band turned down the prize on 2009, but will collect the accolade at a ceremony in London on July 2nd, have said they were “very proud” to be joining previous winners, that include The Who, Oasis and Eric Clapton.
The award ceremony helps to raise money for the music therapy centre Nordoff Robbins. The expressionless Sharon Osbourne will be hosting this year’s event, so expect obvious swearing and an odd Anglo-American twang.
Congratulations to Matt Bellamy and the lads though. Here’s a little reminder why they deserve it:
