Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2010 To Be Held At Wembley Stadium

Capital FM's Summertime Ball is set to return in 2010 with a stellar lineup to be announced over the coming weeks.

The one-day pop-a-thon party of the summer will take place at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 6th. Although the lineup is yet to be revealed, rumours are abound that Monster-Ball superstar Lady Gaga will top the bill with teenage Internet sensation Justin Bieber making his first UK performance to 55,000 screaming pop fans! Also rumoured to be on the 2010 bill are JLS, Rihanna, Pixie Lott and Black Eyed Peas.

Last years Summertime Ball took place at Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium, and featured performances from Lionel Richie, JLS, Daniel Merriweather, Leona Lewis, Akon, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry - amongst many others.

The Summertime Ball comes hot on the heels of Decembers Jingle Bell Ball which saw UK performances from Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga and JLS entertaining 34,000 pop fans over two sold-out nights.

Capital FM presenter Johnny Vaughan said, "Hosting the Summertime Ball at our national stadium is going to be incredible, Wembley is such a legendary venue. This year’s event is not to be missed - Lisa (Snowdon) and I can’t wait to start announcing the line-up."

The Summertime Ball supports Capital’s flagship charity, Help A London Child, with a donation being made from proceeds. The main sponsor this year is online fashion retailer ASOS.com.

Mike Gordon, Global Radio’s Group Commercial Director said: "We are hugely excited by this partnership - it’s an ideal brand fit for 95.8 Capital FM and we’re looking forward to hosting the greatest London concert of the summer with ASOS.com as our sponsors."

Stay tuned for ticket details and confirmed lineups.
