Lord Of The Dance Michael Flatley Returns To World Stage & Tickets

Michael Flatley creator and star of show ‘Lord Of The Dance’ has announced he will be returning to the UK and the stage with his show this autumn.

Performing for the first time in 12 years after his retirement in 1998, Flatley, who made a fortune from the show, is calling his return to the production a “victory lap”.

Having played to over 60 million people in over 60 countries in every continent, the show will return to the UK for eight shows in Ocotber and November. His huge 40-strong cast, some who were present when the show debuted in 1996, will accompany Flatley on his return.

Michael Flatley was launched into the spotlight having created, choreographed and produced Lord Of The Dance from the inspiration of a lifelong dream to take Irish Dancing to another level.

The story of Lord Of The Dance evolved from Flatley’s work on Riverdance and is based on Irish folklore of good versus evil. Through dance and music it is understood and appreciated by every culture, knocking aside any language barriers.

Speaking about his return to the show, Flatley said: "I am very excited to dance again. I've created many shows but Lord Of The Dance has a special place in my heart. It will be different this time around. I've achieved my success and I'm proud of what I've done, this is like a victory lap. This time is for my loyal fans who have been there from the beginning."

The show’s curtain is raised at Sheffield Arena on October 30th and will visit eight UK arenas in October and November.

Lord Of The Dance will play the following UK dates:

October 2010

30th Sheffield Arena
31st Manchester MEN Arena
