Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have announced details of their first headline UK arena tour. The tour, which cumulates with their biggest show to date, will see the guitar band wrap up the seven-date tour with a huge show at London’s Wembley Arena.
Hitting the road in late November the alternative-rock trio will begin their winter jaunt in Aberdeen, before rolling through a number of dates in England at venues in Nottingham and Manchester amongst others.
The band will be fresh from a busy Summer which sees them open this year’s Ibiza Rocks party along with the likes of Prodigy and Florence and the Machine as well as headlining Radio 1’s Big Weekend concert.
Speaking of the new arena tour bassist James Johnson told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat: "It's a very exciting challenge to play such large venues - it makes us a bit nervous but we also relish the challenge."
Releasing their fifth studio album ‘Only Revolutions’ late last year, the band have emerged from the underground rock scene and seen their fanbase grow into a more mainstream following. The album went gold soon after its release and the band’s latest single ‘Bubbles’ features a guest appearance from Them Crooked Vultures/Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.
