The Foo Fighters’ seventh studio album has been confirmed to be set for a 2011 release by the band’s drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
Hawkins’ revealed that it’s currently “in the fetal stages” of development and is as yet untitled. The drummer told spinnermusic.co.uk “in all honesty, Dave’s got 15 or so song ideas that are awesome and we’ve already demoed some of them twice even”.
He explained that it is a massive process, with the band members other commitments coming first, but not holding them back. Taylor added “as long as everybody’s ready, as long we don’t do it because we feel we have to, like because the record company wants another record, that kind of crap never makes good music”.
Hawkins is set to release a new album with band Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, whilst Grohl is set to release a new album with super group Them Crooked Vultures later this year.
