Marina and the Diamonds - The Old Fire Station Bournemouth - May 13th 2010 (LIVE REVIEW)

Marina and the Diamonds took to the stage at TOFS in Bournemouth on Thursday night as part of her mammoth UK tour.

Although a relative unknown a year ago, Marina Diamandis, better known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, has shot to fame on the back of a Critics Choice nomination at this years Brits and the top 5 success of her debut album 'The Family Jewels'.

Marina and the Diamonds is certainly a woman in demand and she didn't disappoint the sell out crowd at TOFS. Taking to the stage in blue neon shades and orange lip gloss the Welsh singer-songwriter strutted her stuff with funky dance moves and striking vocals that really got the crowd going before belting out recent hit 'I Am Not a Robot'.

A more subdued middle to the set saw Marina take to the piano to play melodies 'Numb' and 'Oh No!' before a quick costume change saw her return to the stage in an American 'stars 'n' stripes' dress to perform hit single 'Hollywood'.

The gig continued with more upbeat new wave indie-pop before an encore saw a beautifully melodic cover of 3oh!3's brash pop hit, 'Star Struck' leaving the packed out audience chanting for more from an artist who is sure to have a big year ahead of her.
