Amy Winehouse’s new album is “hopefully” due to be released in time for this Christmas says her soon to be singer dad, Mitch.
Speaking to the BBC to promote his debut album ‘Rush Of Love’, Mr Winehouse said he had heard some songs, admitting Amy’s autobiographical songwriting causes problems. He explained “she writes from her own experiences and most of the time they’re bittersweet experiences”.
The troublesome, recovering drug addict blew the music world away with 2006’s ‘Back to Black’ and hype around her follow up has followed her ever since. Her father continued “I don’t want her to be full of angst and depression for her to write an album. Her songs are really from the soul”.
Mitch Winehouse’s album is due to be released next month and you can be sure that the whole team at Stereoboard will be giving that bad boy a rather large body swerve.
