Fyfe Dangerfield Announces Biggest Tour To Date & Tickets

Guillemots frontman Fyfe Dangerfield has announced a solo headline tour of the UK this September.

Fresh from the massive success of his magnificent cover of Billy Joel’s ‘More Than A Woman’, you’ve probably heard it on the latest John Lewis TV advert, Fyfe’s soulful, enigmatic voice coupled with his charismatic approach to writing has made him a distinctive and hugely popular star in the indie world.

Despite being recorded in under a week, Fyfe’s debut solo album ‘Fly Yellow Moon’ received some gushing reviews. Released in January of this year the singer and songwriter went on to woo crowds at two low-key shows in London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom in April. A concert that saw him play to an intimate crowd which included Sir Paul McCartney.

Despite being recorded in under a week, the ten songs that feature on the album, all love songs, are songs that Fyfe has written over the past few years.

Now set to embark on his biggest tour to date, Fyfe Dangerfield will hit the road in September, playing a number of dates across the country. Kicking-off in Manchester on 16th September. The tour will stop at venues in Nottingham, Bristol, Oxford, Birmingham before coming to a close in Leeds on 27th September.

Fyfe Dangerfield will play the following UK dates:

September 2010

16th Sound Control, Manchester
17th Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
19th Thekla, Bristol
24th O2 Academy2, Oxford
25th HMV Institute, Birmingham
27th Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Tickets are on sale from 9am on Wednesday 9th June.
