Rage Against The Machine New Material 'Genuine Possibility'

Fresh from their free victory concert at London’s Finsbury Park last Sunday (6th June), Zack de la Rocha has now revealed that a new album from Rage Against The Machine is "a genuine possibility."

Rage haven’t dropped any new original material since 1999, although their cover album ‘Renegades’ did follow in 2000. Now, then years later, on the back of their sensational show in London last weekend, Zack de la Rocha has spoken to NME.com about the arrival of some new material.

"I think it's a genuine possibility," said de la Rocha. "We have to get our heads around what we're going to do towards the end of the year and finish up on some other projects and we'll take it from there."

The Californian rap-metal giants played a free gig on Sunday 6th June in celebration of their sledgehammer 1992 track ‘Killing In The Name’ beating the X-Factor’s conveyer-belt pop star Joe McElderry to the UK Christmas Number One spot. 40,000 fans made the trip to London with the lucky crowd snapping up tickets through an online ballot.

If you were unlucky enough to miss out on Rage’s victory gig then you can catch them at this year’s Download festival this coming weekend. They headline the Saturday night, joining a huge cast of massive rock bands for the Donington event.
