Brian Johnson, frontman to legendary rock band AC/DC, has just finished penning his story of cars, women and rock n’ roll for an automotive autobiography set to be released later next month.
By night Brian Johnson is onstage screaming his way through the vast catalogue of rock classics as vocalist for rock legends AC/DC. However by day the charismatic frontman is an incurable, certifiable petrolhead who can’t remember when his life didn’t feature four wheels and a steering wheel!
Brian Johnson was born in Dunston, Tyneside in 1947. With an old steering wheel and a wild imagination, as a youngster Johnson’s lifelong passion for cars quickly took hold. He claims that four wheels feature as large in his life as music.
From cramped teenage fumbles in an old mini to touring around in clapped-out, hygienically-challenged vans, ever since that phone call asking the former Geordie glam-band frontman to audition for AC/DC, Brian Johnson now has the pleasure of being chauffer-driven while enjoying the leather-trimmed luxury of stretch limousines.
A hilarious, personal insight into a man with an insatiable appetite for life, Brian Johnson has written the ultimate story of cars, women and rock n’ roll, not to mention his account of life on the road with the biggest selling band in history AC/DC.
The book, ‘Rockers and Rollers’, is expected to be released next month on July 29th.
