Cutting Crew are a British rock band from London, England, consisting of founding member, frontman and songwriter Nick van Eede, alonside Gareth Moulton, Joolz Dunkley, Jono Harrison, Tom Arnold, Martyn Barker, Nick Kay Mak, Norman Gary, Barnacle, Nik Carter, TJ Davis and Angela Brooks.

Formed in 1985, the band signed Virgin Records in 1986, releasing their debut album, ‘Broadcast’, that year. The single ‘(I Just) Died in Your Arms’ hit #1 in the Billboard Hot 100, with the single, ‘I've Been in Love Before’, also reaching the Top 5. The band’s next album, ‘The Scattering’, was released in 1989, followed by ‘Compus Mentus’ in 1992, before the band split in 1993. In 2005 van Eede released ‘Grinning Souls’, under the Cutting Crew name, and toured a new version of the band around Europe and USA, signing with Spectra Records. The band’s most recent album was ‘Add To Favourites’, which came out in 2015.
