Dub War are a Welsh dub-metal band from Newport featuring vocalist Benji Webbe, who is well known for fronting Skindred.
Formed in 1993, the band released their debut album, ‘Words of Dubwarning’, in 1994. This led to them signing with Earache Records, and releasing ‘Pain’ in 1995, and ‘Wrong Side of Beautiful’ the following year. The band split in 1999, and reformed in 2014 for a small gig in Newport, then played Download and Velvet Coalmine festivals in 2015. In 2022 they returned with 'Westgate Under Fire', their first album of new material in over 25 years. Dub War will support their new record with a UK tour of the same name in March 2023.
