EMA is the project of American noise folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Erika M. Anderson from South Dakota, now based in Oregon.
Starting her music career in 2006, she released her debut album, ‘Little Sketches on Tape’, in 2010, which was followed by ‘Past Life Martyred Saints’, in 2011, and ‘The Future's Void’, in 2014. She is set to release her latest album, ‘Exile in the Outer Ring’, in August 2017, via City Slang. EMA played UK shows in October in support of ‘Exile in the Outer Ring’, and has now confirmed some European shows for January 2018 too.
