Generation Sex Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2025/2026Last Updated: 17 May 2023 11:37am
Generation Sex are a supergroup based in London.
Formed by Billy Idol in 1976 under the name Generation X, the band released three albums before splitting in 1981. They briefly reunited in the 1990s, dropping their fourth and most recent LP 'K.M.D. - Sweet Revenge' in 1998. Then, in 2018, Idol and the band's original member Tony James reformed the band with Steve Jones and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols to play a free gig in Los Angeles, where they were billed as Generation Sex – a mashup of both names, playing a set made up of both bands' material. Generation Sex reunited again in 2023, and will play headline shows in Wolverhampton and Manchester in July, following a pair of gigs in Italy and Germany, and a headline slot at Lucca Summer Festival. They will also appear at Iggy Pop's Dog Day Afternoon one-day festival at Crystal Palace Park, London on July 1. Catch them live by checking tour dates and ticket details below via Stereoboard.
