George Clinton is a funk singer-songwriter, musician and producer from Plainfield, New Jersey, who has been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Starting his music career in 1955, he released nine albums with doo-wop group Parliament between 1970-1980. During the same period, Clinton was also a member of Funkadelic, with whom he released a further 16 albums. Clinton and Parliment joined forces once again in 2018 for their tenth and final studio album, 'Medicaid Fraud Dogg'. He launched his solo career in the 1980s, and has since released 10 studio albums to date, his most recent being 'George Clinton and His Gangsters of Love' in 2008.
