Girls in Hawaii is a Belgian indie-pop outfit that formed back in 2001. Performing a pop orientated blend of indie and rock, the band began after Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe recruited their brothers Denis Wielemans and Brice Vancauwenberghe and their two pals David Offerman and Christophe Léonard.
Their debut album ‘From Here to There’ hit shelves in 2003, and was followed-up by ‘Plan Your Escape’ in 2008 - these records helped them become an internationally renowned band that performed across the globe. In 2010, they were devastated by the loss of Denis Wielsman to a car crash, but after a tough couple of years they return with new record ‘Everest’ - set for a September 16 release.
