Googoosh—real name Faegheh Atashin—is a pop singer and actress from Tehran, Iran.
Considered a cultural icon in her native Iran, she is one of the most popular artists in her home country. She released her debut album, ‘Do Panjareh’ in 1970 and went on to release 20 studio albums across her career, although she took a two decade-long break between 1979 and 2000. Her latest album, ‘Twenty One', arrived in 2021. Also an accomplished actress, she has appeared in many Persian films and TV shows. Googoosh plays London's OVO Arena on March 28, 2024.
